PiTab is a miniature laptop/tablet convertible device that I worked on as a summer project in 2018 and 2019. I designed the device in Fusion 360 and 3D printed it in a mixture of nylon and chopped carbon fiber. PiTab is based on a Raspberry Pi single-board-computer with a Li-ion battery and charge circuit, as well as an integrated USB hub with wireless keyboard receiver and audio card, and a five-inch resistive touchscreen. The tablet slides into the keyboard dock, which consists of a wireless keyboard and trackpad, with hinges salvaged from a MacBook.
